Members and allies: the network we build together.

CIDERT is not an isolated organization: it is a network of rural districts, peasant associations, institutions and allies that will decide together in the Territorial Roundtable. Here is who is already part of it, how it is governed and how your organization can join.

Territorial network

A network we build together

CIDERT connects rural districts, associations and municipalities in Santander through five ways of taking part, each with different rights and commitments.

Full governance

Members

Peasant associations and Community Action Boards with legal status. They vote in the Assembly and elect the Board.

Framework agreement

Institutional allies

Municipalities, SENA, universities, environmental authorities. They sign agreements and exchange resources.

Resources and markets

Strategic allies

International NGOs, corporate social responsibility, environmental funds. They bring resources, knowledge or market access.

Open participation

Community allies

Rural groups, informal boards and collectives. They take part in thematic tables without legal status.

Expertise

Expert allies

Researchers, professionals and consultants who bring technical, methodological or scientific knowledge.

Territorial Roundtable

The Territorial Roundtable, set out in our bylaws, will be a quarterly space open to the whole network — members and allies — where everyone has a voice regardless of formal status. It has not met yet. It is where projects will be prioritized, knowledge shared, accounts rendered and collaborative decisions made.

Who walks with us

Current allies

Two community allies in La Cacica and four companies with an active agreement with CIDERT. The network is growing.

JACCommunity ally

Community Action Board of La Cacica

The first level of local self-government in La Cacica, the community's voice before the municipality of Zapatoca, and a key partner in the network's participatory processes.

Strategic allies

Could your organization be a strategic ally?

Strategic allies bring what the network cannot generate internally: risk capital, international markets, verification standards or specialized knowledge networks. Before contacting us, please check these criteria.

✓

Genuine territorial interest

Concrete reasons to work in Santander, not just symbolic presence or brand visibility in a rural setting.

✓

A real complementary contribution

Something the network does not have: seed capital, market access, international standards or specialized expertise.

✓

A long-term horizon

Commitment to at least one full project cycle (12–24 months), not one-off public relations.

✓

Communities as the end, not the means

A verifiable, primary benefit for the network's families — without using the territory for outside goals.

✓

Transparency and accountability

Willingness to share reporting standards and present results to the Territorial Roundtable at the end of each cycle.

If your organization meets these conditions, we would like to hear from you → Write to us.
